The online event will be held on Zoom

With Matthew Winterbottom, Assistant Keeper and Curator of Decorative Arts and Sculpture

Curator of the Ashmolean's 2023 Colour Revolution exhibition, Matthew Winterbottom, will talk about the ground-breaking exhibition and research project that challenges widely held perceptions that the Victorian age was dark and gloomy.

As well as reviving the rich colours of the ancient and medieval past, of the Middle East, India, China and Japan, artists and designers embraced the new vivid hues which technological and scientific advances made possible.
