An Exclusive Online & In-Person Talk for Members of the Ashmolean

With Paul Collins, Jaleh Hearn Curator for Ancient Near East

Paul Collins will talk about the Sumerians and their lost civilisations at this exclusive talk for Members of the Ashmolean. The Ashmolean has a rich collection of Sumerian artefacts, including the celebrated Sumerian King List, a clay prism of c.1800 BC which lists the rulers of the cities of Sumer and shows that the art of political spin had ancient origins.

The talk will be available to watch live on Zoom for those not able to attend in person.
