With Professor Gervase Rosser, Professor of Art History, Fellow of St Catherine’s College and Director of the Ertegun Graduate Scholarship Programme in the Humanities.

In this special online talk for Members, Professor Gervase Rosser will ask questions such as; who was Dante? And why is his comedy; the poem in which he describes a vision of Hell, Purgatory and Paradise, still necessary reading seven-hundred years after his death?

Professor Rosser will discuss how these questions motivated his curation of our current free exhibition Dante: The Invention of Celebrity.
