The Pre-Raphaelite artists were enamoured of both Elizabeth Siddal (1829-1862) and Marie Spartali Stillman (1844-1927), and their beauty was captured in so many of their works of art.

However, contrary to the Victorian attitudes of the time, these ladies were also recognised as highly-talented artists and both produced over 100 works in their lifetime.

Join us for an exciting, and insightful talk into the lives and works of Elizabeth Siddal and Marie Spartali Stillman, given by the Pre-Raphaelites exhibition curator and author Professor Christiana Payne (Oxford Brookes University).

The talk will be available to watch live on Zoom for those not able to attend in person. A recording of the event will be shared with ticketholders on request following the event.
