After the introduction, Chinta Kallie, founder member of Oxford Council of Faiths, and Board member of the Oxford Hindu Temple and Community Centre Project, introduced a bhajan - a hymn song of praise to the Supreme Creator.

Dr Andrew Shapland, Sir Arthur Evans Curator of Bronze Age and Classical Greece, sheds light on this ancient brazier from Rhodes.

PASSOVER CRAFT ACTIVITY

Craft & Storytelling for all ages

Dalya Moss demonstrates how to make a Matzah basket for Passover, tells the Passover story, and explores a related object at the Ashmolean. What you'll need to join in:

  • A4 paper, of any colour
  • Scrap coloured paper
  • Pencil, to mark things out with.
  • Colouring pens or pencils in different colours, for decorating
  • Scissors
  • A glue stick
  • Ribbon or string 
  • A hole puncher (or a pencil or pen if you don't have one)

Rajinder Singh Sahota (main vocals and harmonium), Ranjit Singh Sahota (tabla) and Giani Sant Singh (vocals) perform Sikh devotional music.

An Ashmolean inspired soundscape improvised by musicians Arne Richards and Isabel Knowland, followed by the ‘Waving Hello’ song featuring the Jericho singers.
