MEMBERS' EXCLUSIVE – MANTUA STUDY DAY

An Exclusive Online Study Day for Members of the Ashmolean

With Diana Matthews, Jeremy Warren, Timothy Wilson, and Caroline Palmer

Italian city of Mantua is celebrated for the artistic and architectural legacy of its Renaissance Gonzaga rulers, who built the imposing Ducal Palace and the Te Palace, known for its extravagantly-painted and decorated rooms.

This Study Day includes two talks by Diana Matthews on art and architecture, and presentations by Jeremy Warren on sculpture, Timothy Wilson on maiolica, and Caroline Palmer on prints and drawings from the Ashmolean collection.

The schedule runs from 10.30am to 12.40pm (with a break), and then from 2pm to 3.30pm. Why not use the lunch break for an Italian-themed meal while watching with another Member?

This event has now taken place.
