MEDIEVAL EMBROIDERY: MEDIEVAL ZODIAC COURSE

Course of three sessions on Sundays in January, March and May 2023

Please note the three sessions have changed from Saturdays to Sundays

Booking required

With Tanya Bentham embroiderer and author

The medieval world took the signs of the zodiac very seriously indeed, believing that they truly ruled the destiny of mankind in everything from health to character.

In this practical course of sessions, you'll be guided how to embroider your own medieval star sign, the medieval way.

You can choose your sign and either work with naturally-dyed wools in the style of the Bayeux tapestry, or create a more intricate piece in silk and gold opus anglicanum. You can even tackle an entire zodiac man if you prefer!

The sessions are suitable for all skill levels.
