INDIAN WOODBLOCK CARVING & PRINTING WORKSHOP

With Asma Hashmi, printmaker and artist

During this engaging workshop, you will embark on a journey to discover the enchanting traditions, techniques, motifs, and historical significance of block printing in the Indian subcontinent.

In the morning, you will learn the art of carving and create your own unique printing block. Then, combining your own woodblock with others, you will print mesmerising patterns and designs onto paper and fabric.

At the end of the workshop you will have your own wrapping paper or picture and a textile piece to take home.
