Join us for this unique opportunity to learn about the ancient art of bellringing in Christ Church Oxford, hosted by the Oxford Change Ringers.

There will be a talk on the history of bells and bellringing, followed by a discussion on the art of change ringing and the methods used.

This will then be followed by a demonstration on the middle six bells and then finish with a discussion about modern-day ringing.

There will be also be an opportunity for some members to remain and observe the ringers at their weekly practice. 

Practical information

Unfortunately, this tour is not suitable for those with mobility impairments. The stairs to the ringing tower in Christ Church are circular, steep, not very wide, and at one point you will have to duck under a low beam.
